Providing online training for business aviation professionals globally.

TrainingPort.net was at the National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Orlando last week. The NBAA is always an exciting event, and this year was no exception.
“Our experience was excellent,” said TrainingPort.net president and founder Scott Macpherson. “We had many clients, prospective clients, and even a few former clients – there aren’t many of those – coming to say that they were on for next year with us. In addition to our announcements, we had the opportunity to meet with and develop relationships with several significant potential allies and suppliers, with several seeking us out for new relationships.”
Our booth was manned by Scott and our vice president-operations Nik Chapman, as well as technical advisors Bob Rorison (aviation maintenance training) and Stewart MacPherson (ground handler training). We also hosted several of our Subject Matter Experts: Scott International Procedures, ServiceElements International, and Safety-Net Inc. Other industry allies, both new and long-standing, dropped by to answer questions, including Robert A. Wright (Wright Aviation Solutions) and Dr Quay Snyder (AMAS). Our European representative, AeroEx GmbH, also joined us at the booth. Through our expert alliances, our company is continuing to expand into previously unexplored areas (such as customer service training), and we always enjoy having the opportunity to showcase these partnerships at the NBAA.

Our booth was busy throughout the event. A constant flow of buyers viewed demos of our online training programs, and lineups were frequent. While it may not have been the busiest NBAA in terms of attendance numbers, there was a noticeable increase in the number of focused, motivated buyers. The atmosphere was positive and upbeat, a testament to the improving health of the business aviation industry in the post-recession era.
On opening day, we held a news conference with ServiceElements to promote our new customer service offering for flight departments. You can read our joint press release here. This and other training announcements were also featured in an article by Aviation International News.
One major development for our company, announced on Day 2, is our new multi-year training agreement with AirSprint, Canada’s leading fractional ownership company for private aviation. Canadian and international media were invited to a small press event at our booth. Canadian Skies Magazine‘s piece on this development can be viewed here.

All in all, NBAA14 was a success for our company and our industry. We look forward to NBAA15!
