TrainingPort.net has released a concise table that clearly summarizes the changes to training requirements imposed by the new CAR 604 regulations.
CAR 604 came into force May 29, 2014. Among other things, the new regulations place additional training requirements on Canadian corporate operators, and increase frequencies for a number of topics. In response, TrainingPort.net has drafted a table that compares the non-type recurrent ground training requirements for an operator under the former POC (CBAA’s BAOSS Manual), CAR 704, and the new CAR 604.
The table clearly illustrates the increased burden of prescribed training and the erosion of valuable time that has previously been available for training tailored to an operator’s specific risk profile.
In the interests of assisting all Canadian operators affected by this change, TrainingPort.net is making its research publicly available. Email info@trainingport.net to receive a copy of the table, or visit booth #55 at the CBAA Convention (June 17-19).
